Dalkeith Business Renewal is situated on the top floor of the former saddlery on South Street.
The company was set up through a grant from a developer in 1998, subsequent funding allowed us to purchase and renovate the century old saddlery which had been left to dereliction and decay. It has since been called home for ourselves and two other new businesses.
DBR has actively become involved in organising activities such as a Continental Market, Farmers Markets, Christmas, Easter and charity events within Dalkeith to help bring something different to the town centre.
We are also involved with the purchasing and refurbishment of available premises with the intention of leasing the property to small businesses not currently being represented in Dalkeith.
One of our previous successes has been the purchase and refurbishment of a property on the East side of the High Street. This now boasts a new veterinary practice.

We continue to work with other interested bodies such as, Dalkeith History Society, Midlothian Council, Midlothian Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise and local traders to the benefit of Dalkeith Town Centre.
