Welcome to the Dalkeith Business Renewal web site. We are a small business set up in 1998 with charitable status. Being a small organisation helps us better understand the needs of local small businesses and gives a more personal, intimate relationship with the business community.
Along with our commitments to current organisations, DBR is actively involved in helping provide start up premises at affordable rates for new small businesses in the Dalkeith town centre area. Not only does this provide the new company with the best start possible but also adds more value to the Dalkeith shopping experience.
The days of Dalkeith being the most important grain market town in Scotland and a thriving mining village are gone, helped by economic circumstances and more recently the rise in popularity of retail parks which surround the Dalkeith and Midlothian area. We can’t bring people back in their thousands but we can, with your help, make Dalkeith a better place to work, rest and play for the residents and local businesses...along with the odd tourist!
